Inhoud van de cursus (alleen in het Engels beschikbaar)

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is an inherent part of our current society. For example, writing a novel, coordinating a large organization, changing a law, finding a handyman, predicting traffic jams, or measuring heart rate are all tasks that are currently performed with the help of ICT. In this unit a range of ICT tools will be discussed. This unit also descusses the underlying technical aspects of the tools. For instance, knowledge on how a computer works provides insight in the possibilities and limitations of ICT. Additionally, we will take a look at how to automate processes and discuss formal representations that allow us to describe these processes.
